Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) invites to submit applications under the 2014-2021 Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme ‘Business Development, Innovation and SMEs‘ Call for projects within ICT focus area.

Funding

The funding under the Call is awarded in form of a non-repayable grant

The total available funding amount under the Call:

•     € 4 000 000 under the main scheme (The value of projects from 200 000 to 1 000 000 Eur)

•     € 1 500 000 under the Small Grant Scheme (The value of projects from 10 000 to 200 000 Eur)

Applicants

SMEs and large enterprises, which are private legal entities established in one of the EU Member states or EEA EFTA states*. If an applicant is a large entity, public ownership can constitute no more than 25%.

NOTE: Only SMEs are eligible applicants under the Small Grant Scheme and can implement the activity Application of new ICT products/technologies

* A private legal entity established in one of the EU Member states or EEA EFTA states whose project has been approved for funding shall be established as a legal person in Lithuania no later than the date of project contract signing.

Partners

Any public or private legal entity, commercial or non-commercial, and non-governmental organisations, established as a legal person in Lithuania or Norway.

Partnership is not compulsory, which means that projects can be implemented without any partners. Nevertheless, bilateral projects are highly encouraged, and projects implemented together with a partner(s) from Norway will score additional points during assessment of an application. 

Eligible activities:

  • Development and commercialisation of new ICT products/ technologies.

Funding under the Call will be provided for projects aiming at development of new ICT products and technologies, which have a potential to enhance performance across different business sectors, economies and societies. For example, information and communication devices, high-speed computing, large-capacity information analysis, imaging and sound technology, solutions related to such areas as cyber-security, Internet of Things, GDPR, artificial intelligence or a Human-centric Digital Age.

NOTE: Projects may focus only on development of new products/ technologies, without commercialisation. However, projects cannot focus solely on commercialisation. Commercialisation shall go together with development of new products/ technologies.

  • Application of new ICT products/technologies

Funding will be provided for application of new digital tools in Lithuanian enterprises. This activity shall be implemented as a part of a more complex project, i.e. together with development of new ICT products and technologies.

In case of application, funding can only be granted to initial investment, as it is defined in the Article 2 (49) of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014.

Project selection

Projects are selected through an open Call for proposals (one stage selection process).

NOTE: Application form below is designed for applicants who upon submission of an application are registered as a private legal entity in one of the EU Member states or EEA EFTA states, except for applicants registered in Lithuania.
